How long until you plan for next con?

So, really... How long do most of you wait until starting to plan for next year's convention? I think I already have, and to be quite honest, I think that's a pretty good idea. I had meant to last time, and look what happened: no cosplays done. None. So I wasn't cosplaying this year and I had really wanted to.

I plan waaaaay ahead. I'm planning on a bunch of cosplays for SWACE next year, but I have to save a ton of money. Plus I'm getting a room at the hotel, pre-reging, plus moneys for foods. Not to mention the dealers room. So I star planning almost immediately after the con ends.

Again with "Why did I not do that last year?" Heh. I guess it's a good thing that I'm Job-Hunting then, eh? Ugh. But I'll have absolutely no time for anything fun related if I get a job. *sighs*

I was planning for this con last year, I just didn't expect to have the money to make a costume. I am planning for next year too, I just need to hunt down another costume idea.

I think I'm starting to see a pattern. Planning a year in advance. Wow.

I like to start thinking about six months ahead, longer if I need to get more equipment or if I am doing something with a group. Local ones, I just need a month so I can ask for vacation from work!

My costume brain starts turning once the con is over, but I will start any major planning until the start of the new year. Ah, so many costume ideas, so little time.

Yeah. I have so many costume ideas and I know that most of them probably won't work out due to money. Ugh. I need to go find a job. I guess I'll be job hunting this weekend.

I don't think I'll start planning till this summer. That's when I'll have the most money.
